MAC Cosmetics
Established in Canada, MAC was founded by a pair of Franks who shared the same passion for cosmetics. Frank Angelo, owner of a franchise of hair salons and Frank Toskan, make-up artist and photographer developed MAC cosmetics based on the need for a reliable, consistent, and socially responsible brand of cosmetics in 1985. The year "USA for Africa" recorded "We are the World" charity single coincided with the explosion of this grassroots brand which initially grew from word of mouth among models, celebrities, and professional make-up artists. With endorsements from those who not only demanded the best, but required it to make their livings, the message was clear and MAC was eventually swallowed by the giant The Estee Lauder Comapnies in 1998.

Dior has a full line of skin care, make-up, and fragrance and for those fortunate enough to own them can attest to the quality which comes with the expense of having them on our vanity counters.
